Surawit Akinthanachot

Surawit Akinthanachot is an Associate in ILAWASIA’s corporate and commercial practice, where he focuses on contract review, drafting, and negotiation. He advises domestic and international clients on a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, license, trade, procurement, presenter, and employment contracts, with a focus on managing risk and protecting clients’ business interests.

His practice also covers Thai labor law, BOI investment promotion, and real estate and land matters. Before joining ILAWASIA, Surawit held in-house legal and compliance roles in the HR technology and digital asset sectors. There he handled finance licensing, SEC-regulated digital asset matters, and PDPA compliance.

Surawit works in Thai and English and speaks conversational Japanese. Having studied and lived in Tokyo, he supports foreign clients, including Japanese clients, doing business in Thailand.

• Assessed BOI investment promotion eligibility for technology and software companies.
• Obtained a pico-finance license through the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, handled post-license registration changes, and started a nano-finance license application with the Bank of Thailand.
