International Women's Day 2024
ILAWASIA’s executives, lawyers, and operational support staff came together to celebrate International Women’s Day in a spirit of unity and recognition. The event was marked by a sense of appreciation and acknowledgment for the invaluable contributions made by women within the firm and across various sectors. It provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of women in legal professions, highlight their leadership roles, and emphasize the importance of gender equality and empowerment in the workplace.
It served as a reminder of the ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute their best.
Meeting at Thai Intellectual Property Department
On March 11, 2024, Dr. Pollawat Suppattarasaet, IP Partner and acting on behalf of the President of the Legal Development and Assistance for SMEs Committee at The Federation Thai SMEs, along with Miss Thanapha Phetkeereeskul, Senior IP Associate at ILAWASIA, convened a meeting with Mr. Kittiwat Patchimnan, Deputy Director-General of the Thai Intellectual Property Department.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and find solutions aimed at supporting SMEs by leveraging intellectual property.
Event Attendance : Certificate of Legal Mark Agent in Cambodia
On 19th March 2024, as a licensed trademark attorney and IP practitioner, attorney Vicheka Lay, partner of ILAW Cambodia Law Office, attended the event of conferring the “Certificate of Legal Mark Agent” at the Ministry of Commerce.
This participation is proving that ILAW Cambodia Law Office is and remain committed to all IP services, in particular, trademark, patent, copyright, industrial design, trade secret, and all other forms of IP.
Being Speaker on Thai Employment Law
On 14 December 2023, Nannapas Phatcharakeatkanok (Senior Associate), together with Thanaporn Kaewsukko, and Wachinorot Siladet, Corporate Associates, represented the firm as speakers on the Thai Employment Law and shared legal knowledge to our client.
Overseas Outing 2023
‘Tis the Season!! ILAWASIA executive and partner, Somphob Rodboon, and Supharat Sae-Lee, together with our lawyers and operational support staffs, travelled to Danang, Vietnam during 17-19November 2023, in order to enjoy Winter holiday, sightsee the Danang Town and rejoice the beautiful highlight places.
We had a pleasant time at Linh Ứng Temple where houses the gigantic Goddess of Mercy; then we cruised river of Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village where the locals show skill, activity and sing while cruising; and completed the day at Hội An to purchase local products.
As day one goes by, the second day began with a trip on the longest cable car in the world to Bana Hill and a walk through the Golden Bridge, which was decorated with stone palms that covered the bridge; a visit to an amusement park and a thrilling ride on the Alpine coaster at Sun World; and an evening visit to Dragon Bridge.

APAA Annual Meeting 2023
Our Managing Partner, Somphob Rodboon, together with IP associates Ms. Thanapha Phetkeereeskul and Ms. Thamolwan Insawang, attended the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Conference in Singapore, during 3-7 November 2023.

Congratulations to the law students from prestigious universities who successfully completed their respective internship at ILAWASIA from June to July 2023.
Meeting Regarding Trade Remedies Sub-Decree in Cambodia.
On 30th June 2023, attorney Vicheka Lay, partner of ILAW Cambodia Law Office, met with Cambodia’s secretary of commerce His Excellency Pich Rithi and his team, regarding the Sub-Decree on Anti-Dumping. This is part of the activity, as attorney Vicheka Lay is a national expert on trade remedies, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Seminar on the Enforcement of Competition Law & Related Regulations in Cambodia.
On 17th July 2023, attorney Vicheka Lay attended the seminar on the enforcement of competition law and related regulations, organized by the Genera Directorate of Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Combating. The seminar intended to promote the law on competition in general and other related regulations, including all procedures, related to business combination (merger & acquisition).
This event gave attorney Vicheka Lay the opportunities not only to delve into competition, merger and acquisition regulations, but only the opportunities to converse with relevant authorities and other lawyers of similar expertis
